(c) One, one, cocoa, full basket - A country that enslaves you will not save you.
This is not about politics, or politricks, or whether you are white, black, hispanic or whatever. It is about people helping people to achieve peace and livity in this country.
Those who choose to deny or to ignore truth as hypocrites and heathens do, will always have an answer that beckons war and destruction.
The contemptible nature of men shows us that no matter who tries to do the right things, there will be those who want to make it wrong.
Those who want to be- YES- men so that others can like them for the wrongs that they do to others will someday soon see the light of truth as to their destruction. FOR THERE IS NO MAN IN THE FLESH THAT CAN SAVE HIS OWN SOUL. How many times have you seen me write this?
Your ideologies cannot save you. Your wealth cannot save you. Your associations cannot save you. Your positions of power cannot save you. Each man, in a time appointed will face his own judgment. Only the grace and mercies of the most high God of all creation can save you.
One hand cannot clap. A bird with one wing cannot fly. As a rastaman, I know and live these truths that no one on creation can deny. Created by the most high God of creation, I will always try to do what is right for a healing of the nations. For me to do otherwise would be hypocrisy and deception. I have never walked down that road, and never will.
I do not engage myself in politricks, but for anyone whom I see is trying to help others from the heart of the people, I will lift my voice as to their cause.
Immigration reform to help all those who are here and of good character, and who seek to make things better and not worse, must be done. I do not care who in their positions of power in politricks is fighting for truth to help the people.
Those who are afraid to speak out for truth to support the causes of the poor and those who are suffering, must know why they are afraid. I am here to tell you not to fear any man on creation. I am here to tell you that you must only fear the creator, from which all life comes and from whose wrath and judgment none shall escape.
Living a life helping others is all I know. I must trod in the path of he who sent me. By his many names I have chosen to call him- JAH RASTAFARI. Some say Yaweh, Jehovah, Adoni, Allah etc. He has sent to us many prophets whose spiritual works has guided us in this world of darkness.
The time is now for America to make a lot of things right for the people, especially those who are poor. It is clear to me who is trying to do Jah works for the people.
This is 2013- Black history month- the month in which black people reflect on their heritage and contributions to this great nation we call America. I dont have to outline what has been done so far, and who has suffered or continue to suffer in the struggles to right the many wrongs done to our people.
Those who are quick to jump and become hot under the collar, should know that in some degree of suffering, people of all races, classes and creeds have suffered. History has shown this to be true. The only real question now is this: WHY IS IT THAT SOME NEVER SEEM TO EXTRICATE THEMSELVES FROM THE SUFFERINGS? What is it that keeps holding down a certain race or class of peoples?
WHY, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, THE OVERALL CONDITIONS OF BLACK PEOPLE IN AMERICA NOT IMPROVED FOR THE BETTER?
The rastaman knows the truths because the rastaman has knowledge in the history of Babylon system. There are those who simply do not want to see others prosper, and they devise ways to keep people entrapped in their squalid conditions of poverty, destruction and death. I SEE THE TRUTH!
How many reggae songs about poverty have you heard and understood? Countries like Haiti, Jamaica, and those they call Third world countries will show you what I mean.
Slavery for the black man in America had a certain twist from that for the black man in the West Indies. The outlook was the same. The methods were sinister. SOME HARBOR THE THOUGHTS TODAY THAT THE BLACK MAN SHOULD STILL BE ENSLAVED, BUT IS HE, AND HOW DOES HE FEEL?
This is 2013- and my reggae sings- WE REFUSED TO BE JUST WHAT THEY WANTED US TO BE.
Babylon system remains the vampire sucking the blood of the sufferers. Did not my student and brethren- Bob Marley told you so?
Creating a pathway for the people to become productive citizens of this country and to help keep it great is the way to go. To do otherwise will only weaken America within and without.
So, to all those in the congressional black caucus who are trying to help others in the president's fight for the rights of the people- Folks like Rep. Sheila Jackson- Lee from the 18th district in Houston, Texas, I Ras Cardo say- stand Strong as you fight the -good fight. You have seen the plight and the pains of the immigrants who came here like so many for the dream.
Ms. Jackson- Lee, I have seen just what you have seen with so many people including some from my beloved, Jamaica. You stated the situation of those who have dying or sick relatives who cannot leave to attend their funerals or to visit them on their sick beds.
We must help the people to come out from the shadows and into the light. Anyone who cannot see this as helping America is not human.
POLITICS ASIDE, LET TRUTHS AND RIGHTS ABIDE, FOR SO MANY HAVE FOUGHT FOR THIS COUNTRY AND DIED. (c) Ras Cardo speaks for a healing of the nation. Peace!
